Welcome to the MTW Next Generation Latin America blog. The goal of this blog is to share resources, problems, and perspectives as we think about our monthly phone call.

On the right, you will see two of the resources that Bill mentioned – Acts 29 and Sovereign Grace Ministries and C.J. Mahaney. Feel free to check those out.

Bill suggested that we look around at some of the books/articles/blogs that we are reading and comment on what is impacting our thinking most right now. That might be a good place to start and something easy to post here.

He also suggested that we think about themes that we might like to talk about; here are a few that I thought of as we talked:

• How do we decide which nationals to work with? How do we avoid pressures in the wrong directions and ask the right questions so that we are wiser in selecting the men we invest with and in?
• What is the role of MTW missionaries given past dictates to move towards only mentoring and enabling nationals? What does this mean in particular for guys that have not had church planting experience and yet are asked to be trainers of church planting national pastors?
• What is our goal and role with national denominations? How do we navigate complex waters? When do we say we cannot go any further?
• What are other denominations doing? How do we stay on top of our own national and regional spiritual contexts?
